The Bank of America® Student Platinum Plus® Visa® Credit Card is ideal for students who would like to begin building their credit. Although this card does not have a reward program, it does offer various benefits and services such as access to online banking, auto rental insurance, and purchase protection services. The interest rate for purchases and balance transfers is above average for a student card and it is not ideal if you plan to carry a balance. However, there is no annual fee, and you only need a minimal amount of monthly income to qualify for the card without a cosigner. As an added bonus, cardholders will also receive a $25 statement credit after qualifying transactions.
