With the Citi® Upromise® Card, cardholders can earn a 10% rebate on select purchases of over 7,000 grocery and drugstore items, a 2% savings on gas purchases at Exxon and Mobil locations, and a 1% savings on all other purchases. Rebates are invested in a tax-advantaged college savings plan, which is managed by top investment firms. The card has a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers as compared to other reward cards. However, it should be noted that there is a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls, the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. In addition, the card has no annual fee and offers an attractive 0% long-term introductory rate that can be applied towards balance transfers.
